How do you navigate the tension between ‘the present moment is perfect, I have all I need, I am enough’ but I still want to ‘be, do and have’ more?
Appreciation. To grow what you have, you must appreciate what is already there. Once what is there is truly appreciated, it can grow into more.
Gratitude of the present moment and growing already existing/thriving assets (appreciation) is the same phenomena at work. For the less to grow into more, what you already have must be truly and fully appreciated first.
An appreciating asset is a present (ie. gift) sent from the future, experienced and cultivated in the now. It’s a gift ‘pre-sent’ the moment one is fully appreciative of what they already have. To grow anything is always a game of gratitude for what is already there first.
Yeah, that makes sense. But doesn’t the desire for “more” suggest dissatisfaction with what is?
It’s a paradox. If your attention remains on appreciating what is, and what’s already there, the more handles itself. If your attention is on the more, the law of opposites suggests you haven’t fully appreciated what is and you’ll focus on the less. This focus on the less will have you create, experience and manifest ‘less’ instead of cultivating ‘more.’
More is less. Less is more.
I'd like to pull this thread a little more... How do you take steps towards the more if you don't think about what "more" you want and place your attention on it?
I'm saying they are one and the same thing. The desire for more and the gratitude for what is are two sides of the same coin. They appear different, but they are the same phenomena. I've spent 5 years developing ⚭ simulations to answer this question. Once you see it, experience it and master it then life will never be the same. The steps you take toward the more (ie. desire) is to get honest with what you want that you think you don’t have. Then, as you are clear on what that is, you can begin to notice a few things.
One, consider that everything you think you don’t have is already there. It’s there in a different form. The reason you feel like you don’t have the thing already and are desiring “more” is the same reason you don’t physically have the thing already and are also stressing about it. The job at hand is to appreciate that you already have the thing and have always had the thing and will always have the thing but it’s just in a different form to one you lust over. This appreciation allows what is already there to grow. That’s the secret power of gratitude. It’s a growth tool. An inability to recognise that you have had the desired thing already all along ironically has you not manifest the desired thing in greater forms (ie. growth). Why would God give you more if you can’t even appreciate what you already have?
Two, as you witness and get clear on what you want (desire), observe all your heavy beliefs around the thing you desire itself. Those beliefs may look like a mixture of resentment, upset, dissatisfaction or bitterness. Those emotions mirror the lack of gratitude and appreciation for what already is and push you further away from the thing you desire. It’s literally weed repellant to your growing garden. You push the thing you say you want away even further away because you’ve failed to even appreciate that you already have the thing in a different form. And because you think you don’t have it, you unconsciously simp and sook over this desired form and it robs you of both enjoying what you already have and blocks the ability to attract what you say you want. It’s an insanity loop. A grand irony. A drama cycle. A cosmic joke.
Three. To end this loop and come full circle of awareness, it’s wise to identify the poison you are pouring on your garden (toxic beliefs) regarding the desired thing you say you want. No need to eliminate these beliefs. Just be straight and unfiltered by what you actually think and believe. Just your awareness on these belief statements alone will enlighten you. You’ll start to see that the current results and outcomes of your world, most noticeably the physical results around the desired thing you have not manifested yet in the specific form you say you want is because you are working in opposition to creating it. What you say to yourself and the world about the desired thing is the opposite sentiment of creation. It’s normally a very negative sentiment and set of beliefs. God will not give you thing because he doesn’t want you to suffer any further. Even if he gave it to you to appease you, you wouldn’t appreciate it.
You repel the thing you say you want because you have failed to appreciate that it’s already there and always has been there. You are just unconscious and drunk on falsehoods. The law of opposites has you attract the opposite of what you say you want to actually protect you from the delusion you’ve projected. Once you return to appreciation, space arises for you to align your heart with God’s creation and allow love for what is to be the magnet for attracting and growing an even more beautiful garden. The way to do this is to see what’s already awesome in your life. You can’t create a farm until you’ve fully appreciated the veggie patch. God will not have you progress the levels of ‘more’ until you are in love with ‘less.’ Once you truly see what’s already awesome in your life, and experience deep love and reverence for your current reality, you’ll see that you’ve always had the potential to manifest the form you say you desire and you see that its your lack of appreciation of the “less” which kills off the growth of “more.”
Are you saying you can be perfectly satisfied with what is while also desiring more?
Being satisfied with what is and truly desiring more is the same thing. Your desire shifts to being grateful and ironically this creates the space to create, attract and grow more. The two cannot be separated. The separation creates suffering. To wisely and healthily desire more, love what already is. To love what already is, you’ll want to experience and create more. Love is the glue of these two polarities. They work in tandem. If you’d love to experience this phenomenon, simulations.so is a great option.
