“Power is never taken. Power is only ever given away”. —Jon Michail
Phase 1: Activation
It’s never that fun getting raw feedback. Especially when it’s from those closest to you. Out of nowhere, my dad stared me down. Telling me I was looking sloppy. Underdressed, unpolished, with a clear sign of a poor attitude. Only a parent could speak so direct to their child. Even as a full grown adult. At first, I cracked it. Fumes coming out of my ears. How dare he give me brutal nonsense. But as I walked away from the encounter to process his critique, he was right. I had deluded myself that the physical was not as important as the spiritual. How wrong I was.
