Phase 1: Activation
Peers as competitors, friends as strangers, acquaintances as enemies. The veil of trust in relationships feel so thin and fragile and the switch from hot to cold can happen so fast. I’ve encountered many ‘strange’ encounters recently were I feel exposed and vulnerable to the envy, theft and threat of people I considered I could trust. The pattern is clear. Outside my family, and even outside myself, who to trust especially in the dog eat dog world of business feels exceedingly low, hard and confusing. I feel stupid and naive for being so open. I’m torn between the open source love of Jesus Christ and the closed, monolithic style of Steve Jobs and the apple empire. Jobs patented and protected his baby. Jesus protected and put the the people first. Both changed the world and both died young. I’m confused who I need to be as a strong leader and business man.
