The Warfare Test — One of the mistakes people make is to assume that if God wants you to have something you won’t have to fight for it. You won’t have to plan for it, you won’t have to have a vision for it and you won’t have to work for it. A person can believe, “If God wants me to have something I don’t have to do anything, He will just cause it to happen in my life.” That thought has caused a lot of people to miss out on the blessings, opportunities, and progress that God has planned for them. Just because God has plans, places, and purpose for you doesn’t mean you don’t have to fight for them! — Nine Tests
Challenge is the price of entry to getting what you want. How much you truly want something is authenticated by how much you willing to fight to get it. If there is no fight, it’s the perfect sign you don’t really want it. And if you want really want it, then don’t expect you should get it or waste your time going after it.
What we accomplish in life is not based on what we want, but on how much we want it and how willing we are to fight for it. One undeniable ingredient that helps to determine our personal potential, is our capacity to fight for what we want to see in our future. I like to think about it like this: “It’s not the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of fight in the dog,” (Mark Twain).
If you want something, doesn’t mean you are guaranteed to get it. But if you want something authentically and deeply enough, you’ll be given every opportunity to get its equivalent or something even greater. When you don’t get what you want, God is saying: if got something better for you. A lesson in what it is to truly want, and the prize for wanting it truly.
No doubt about it, people with less talent and more fight will go further in life than the very talented person who gives up when they face adversity.
The story of talent being beaten by the underdog focuses on the ‘bad attitude’ of the talented. It misses the point. The talent has not found the thing they love so much even if they were the underdog. Talent is a burden to those who haven’t found the war they’d love to fight in
It may help you to know that each one of us has an overcomer in us. Maybe the fighter in you is refrained or untrained. Maybe the fighter has been reluctant to rise up with courage to face adversity. Maybe the fight in you has laid dormant because of a huge setback or major disappointment in your life. But all of us are created with a fighter inside of
The fighter lives within us all. If you are not fighting today, you better pray one day you do. To fight is to love. To love so great you are willing to stand and fight. The fighter within you, once healed from its past wounds will rise to the song of your healed heart.
You could look at these moments and think why did it have to happen this way, but everything was part of a bigger plan for Jesus. At every obstacle, He kept pressing forward understanding that life wouldn’t be easy just because He was in the will of God. Instead, He was aware that He could and would experience problems along the journey. He showed us what it looks like to have a high tolerance for adversity. It happened this way so that Jesus could model how to handle adversity for us.
Just because you are on the path does not mean things come easy. Nothing worth anything comes easy. You’ll experience every heartache imaginable on the path. And what say you then? I love you path for the path is love. God help me love so I can help people love.
How much challenge you handle now determines how much oppurtunity your given next. Until you can handle what you’ve got, you won’t be given more than you can handle. God wants you to learn, not to fail. And as soon as you’ve learned, you’ll be given more to love.
You are a champion by nature. Before you’ve won a trophy or taken home the belt. Champion is who you are. Until you return home to who you are, you will never experience being the champion. The real victory is never the trophy. The real victory is remembering and knowing you were born a champion, and that you found your way home.
